More room to run. More care in every day.
Small groups, fenced yards,
and a familiar routine.
Daycare on a family property
Your dog spends the day on our property with a small group of other dogs, two fenced yards to play in, and a climate-controlled building to rest in when they need a break.
Eight dogs is our hard ceiling, and that counts boarding dogs too. Most days it's well under that.
Daycare runs Monday through Saturday.
Two yards, one group when it works
Our two fenced yards connect. Most days everyone gets along and the whole group plays together across both.
When that isn't the right fit, the smaller yard is there — for little dogs who'd rather not be underfoot, for an older dog who wants a quieter afternoon, or for anyone having a day where the big group is too much. Nobody's stuck in one yard or the other. It depends on the dog and how the day is going.
How the day goes
7:00–9:00 AM — Drop-off. On a leash, in the door, and off to the group.
Morning. Outdoor play starts once everyone is settled.
Midday. We generally alternate about one hour outside in the yards with one hour inside to rest. The rotation continues throughout the day, with lunch during an indoor break if you've sent it.
Afternoon. More outdoor play and rest rotations until pick-up.
4:00–6:00 PM — Pick-up. Usually a tired dog.
The goal is to give every dog as much outdoor and play time as they want. We adjust the rhythm for age, energy, weather, and how each dog is feeling; dogs ready for more play get it, while dogs ready to rest can settle.
Daycare runs Monday through Saturday — a morning drop-off and an afternoon pick-up, same day. We don't offer daycare on Sundays.
No drop-offs or pick-ups on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day.
What it costs
$35 a day for one dog. $30 a day per dog when you bring more than one.
Holidays. Major holidays are $10 a day extra. That includes the day before and the day after. The full list is in our agreement.
Cancellation. 48 hours notice. With eight spaces, a spot held is a spot nobody else can use.
Before your dog's first day
Every new dog starts with a full day of daycare — the same $35 — ending with a temperament evaluation. We're finding out how your dog does in a group, and you're finding out whether this is the right fit.
Vaccinations required: rabies, distemper, bordetella, leptospirosis, parvovirus, all at least 72 hours before arrival. Canine influenza recommended.
Also required: spayed or neutered, at least 12 months old, clean and free of fleas and ticks.
What to pack
Not much. Lunch if your dog eats midday, medication with instructions if they need it, and that's about it.
From families who know us
Hands down…AMAZING!!! The best space for my dogs and I m thrilled I found Z!!! My dogs have been for daycare and boarding both of which have been great…communication, care, my pups get excited when we pull in and are exhausted when I pick them up which means they played hard! I can’t recommend them enough!!!
So happy we found Lake Wylie Dog Boarding. Means so much to be able to travel without guilt. Our Boxer Mix is 12 years old and deaf. Even with his anxiety issues, Earl has made himself at home there. Thanks to Zee and her family.
